From its humble beginnings, the builder’s yard became a laneway and the laneway became a street. The main building in the photo was originally a chemist’s laboratory, built around 1886. Over the next century small businesses came and went, including the ‘Inland Salt Co Pty Ltd’ and F. Agostino & Co, wine and spirit merchants. The old lab is now all residential.
